Train Your Ears with the Interval Ear Trainer
Turn your speakers up! The following flash program is an excellent tool to help train your ears! A series of two notes will be played one by one. You are trying to figure out the distance between the two notes. You will not know the exact notes of the keys that are being played, but that is not important with this exercise. The intervals between the played notes are important. Don’t worry, it’s hard at first, but you will become better with practice. As the notes become farther apart, the harder it becomes. Notice the ‘direction’ button with an up arrow; clicking will change the settings to go from higher to lower. Also, click the ‘play mode’ button below it. You can edit the options to play the single notes and then together as a chord, or just as a chord!
